Queen's Road Central

Queen's Road is one of the major trunk in Central, running east to west from HSBC Headquarter towards Possession Street in Sheung Wan. Along the street, there are famous high-rise commercial buildings as well as prestigious shopping arcades; example like Galleria, The Landmark, Aon China Building, The Centre, Entertainment Building (recently sold at $2.7 billion). Near the HSBC Headquarter, world-renowned flagship stores and branded goods are the major tenants; department stores Marks and Spencer, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery etc. lured high consumption management staff. Walking down the street, antiques, art paintings and gem-stone/precious jewellery gathered where vacant shops for lease are rare. Running towards the end near Sheung Wan, it stood in sharp contrast to the prosperity in Central. While asking rental in Central may reach over $1 million per month, those near Sheung Wan can only command for a few ten thousand dollars.
