MA TAU WAI ROAD

Ma Tau Wai Road is a main street in Hung Hom, running from Whampoa Estate to To Kwa Wan, in which over 500 shops scattered along it, broadly divided in three types of tenants. Whampoa Estate and its vicinity are major residential areas, no wonder grocery stores and operators selling daily necessities are keen to start their business. Moreover, banks, cafes, entertainment and chainstore retailers are other active tenants. In the midst of Ma Tau Wai Road, it is characterized as the food and beverage section; the Food Street. Cuisines from all over the world can be found in Chinese, Japanese and Western restaurants; just to name a few, celebrated Japanese dish Katiga Japanese Food Shop, Lung Cheung Japanese Restaurant. Running towards the end of Ma Tau Wai Road is To Kwa Wan, the Furniture Street whereby over 50 shops specialized in modern home decor; even tourists came for 'treasure-hunting' looking for high-end home furnishing.
