Jaffe Road

Jaffe Road lies in the midst of Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. Bars and pubs spread along Arsenal Street towards O'Brien Street. Then running between O'Brien Street and Canel Road East are the shops selling home furnishings, decorative and construction material stores, with occassional old-styled restaurants 'interrupting' the uniformity of tenants. From Canel Road East onwards, tenant mix changes. Along the way, World Trade Centre is one of the major shopping arcades for youngsters, office ladies etc. As the business core of Causeway Bay, operators make good profit and is thus willing to pay higher rent in order to secure a place for business; just to enjoy the high pedestrian flow all day long plus the generous spending from the affluent class. It lured many more demand for retail space in the district and induced some new development; Causeway Bay Plaza was once a cinema and is now renovated as a shopping mall with not much vacant shops for lease.
